I'm looking for celebrationsJENNIFER ANN WARNER
Published on 08/01/2016
JENNIFER ANN WARNER A week ago today the Head of Operations at Saga Cruise issued the following statement: "During the morning of Sunday 13th December, whilst the Saga Sapphire was crossing the Atlantic, a 70 year-old passenger was reported missing by her travelling companion. Following a comprehensive search of the ship, she could not be found. Working in conjunction with Maritime Authorities the Saga Sapphire conducted a search. The captain and Maritime Authorities have now concluded that given the length of time the lady would have been overboard the search should be concluded." Sadly, the passenger was a dear and long standing friend, Jennifer Ann Warner, (known to many as Ann) who was also Godmother to our daughter Talia. The Ship turned around and re-traced its course but there was no sign of Ann despite a full grid search. Other shipping was also alerted but we are told there is no more news and all hope is gone. We have contacted those of Anns relatives and friends whom we know. However Ann will have been friendly with or in contact with a lot of people in the Sudbury area. Many will not know of this tragedy. Please pass on this sad news where appropriate. Ann was travelling with a companion, who has returned early from the first port of call following this sad event. We offer sincere condolences to her and all other friends of Ann. All enquiries to: ddavidgiles@outlook. comYour tribute has been received.
