Business is booming at one of the newest shops in Bury St Edmunds.
Kitchen shop Laranza has opened on the corner of Churchgate Street and Hatter Street and was joined by celebrity chef Peter Sidwell for the launch.
One of the co-owners Glyn Powell said: “The launch went really well and we had a lot of people in through the doors and a large number of enquiries which is good. Everyone seemed to love Peter’s cooking and what he did.”
Mr Sidwell has presented on Channel 4 and is the author of a range of ‘Simply Good’ cookbooks.
Speaking of how people in Bury were reacting to the new shop, Mr Powell said: “It’s going well. We’re getting a lot of comments on how good the shop looks and especially the front display.”
He said the company had planned to open a Bury branch for the past few months when the shop became available, following the departure of Bonhams.
