Roadworks are once again likely to cause disruption for drivers in Suffolk this week. 

Here are five to keep an eye out for.

West End Road, Ipswich 

West End Road will be closed overnights between July 3 and 8 from 7pm to 5am each night. 

While the road is closed Suffolk Highways will be installing a new experimental bus lane

While the road is closed a diversion route will be in place which is as follows:

Clockwise diversion - A1214, Civic Drive, Franciscan Way, Grey Friars Road, Bridge Street and A137

Anti-clockwise diversion - A1214, B1075, Princes Street and A137

A14

A lane closure will be in place in both directions of the A14 between junction 46 and 44 near Bury St Edmunds from 9pm on Monday to 5am on Tuesday while National Highways carry out cutting and planting. 

Whelnetham Road, Little Whelnetham

Whelnetham Road in Little Whelnetham will be closed from 9.30am and 3.30pm on Monday and Tuesday while Opeanreach carries out essential works.

A three-mile diversion route will be in place while the road is closed.  

Hadleigh Road, Monks Eleigh

Hadleigh Road will be closed between 7.30pm on Monday and 4am on Tuesday. 

While the emergency road closure is in place a 22-mile diversion route will be in place which is expected to add on around 35 minutes to peoples journeys. 

Trinity Street, Bungay 

An emergency road closure will be in place in Trinity Street in Bungay until Tuesday. 

A diversion route is in place while the road is closed.
