October half-term is just around the corner and you may be looking for things to do that will keep the whole family entertained without breaking the bank to go.
From spooky mini golf to searching for sleeping cats around a mansion, here are five cheap and family-friendly events taking place across Suffolk in half-term.
1. Halloween Mini Golf and Spooky Trail
Where: Alton Watersports Centre, Holbrook Road, Ipswich, IP9 2RY
When: Saturday, October 21 to Sunday, October 29
Cost: £6 per child and £5 per adult
Spooky explorers will love this event.
Play a round of Halloween-themed mini golf and try to crack the code on the Spooky Trail.
It will be available between 10am and 3pm and booking is not needed - just turn up, pay, and play.

2. Holloween: Beasts of the East
Where: Hollow Trees Farm, Semer, Ipswich, IP7 6HX
When: Friday, October 20 to Sunday, October 29
Cost: £9 per person (2 years and under go free)
Mystical beasts and creatures from East Anglian folklore have made their way to Hollow Trees Farm.
Can you brave Black Shucks Cave? Or do you dare to ride the Beastly Barrell Train?
The Farm Trail will open at 10am, with activities opening by 11am.
Tickets are available to pre-book now, or will be £10 per person when bought on the day.

3. Pick Your Own Pumpkins
Where: Pumpkin Barn, Cranley Road, Eye, IP23 7NZ
When: October 21 to October 29
Cost: £2 per adult and children are free
Get in the Halloween spirits by picking your own pumpkins at Pumpkin Barn.
Pumpkins are priced based on variety and size, and well-behaved dogs on a lead can also come and join in.
Pumpkin Barn is cashless and there will be other activities available such as crafts and carvings.
It is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

4. Fiendish Fire lighting
Where: Nowton Park, Bury Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5LU
When: October 25
Cost: £5
Now you've survived the zombie apocalypse how will you cook your dinner?
The rangers at Nowton Park will teach you how to make fire before you cook brains and eyeballs (marshmallows and popcorn) over an open fire.
This event is suitable for families with children over 8-years-old and will start at 1.30pm.
Halloween fancy dress is encouraged.
5. Where's Wolsey's Cats Trail
Where: Christchurch Mansion, Soane Street, Ipswich, IP4 2BE
When: October 21 to October 29
Cost: £5
Cats have played their best game of hide-and-seek across Christchurch Mansion.
Embark on the trail to unravel the secret spots and uncover tucked-away historical gems.
Children can claim a special prize once they've found all of their feline friends.
