A popular west Suffolk hotel could expand its offering with 10 more rooms if plans submitted to a council are given the green light.
All Saints Hotel in Fornham St Genevieve, near Bury St Edmunds, has requested permission from West Suffolk Council to change an office space on the second floor into 10 bedrooms.
The bedrooms, all of which would have ensuites, would be a mixture of three premiere executive suites, two executive suites and five other bedrooms.
They would replace a large office area and meeting room on the second floor of the hotel.
The plans also include six roof lights and three automatic opening vents.
In a statement to West Suffolk Council, the applicant stated that various other uses were considered, but bedrooms seemed the most appropriate choice and the best use of space.
"The additional accommodation reflects the success of Bury St Edmunds as a destination/location to visit and to do business in," they said.
"The unique mix of facilities at this locality also help create an added benefit on visiting."
