A sign has appeared on a stretch of road that has previously been dubbed 'one of the worst in west Suffolk', branding it 'Pothole Avenue'.
Trinity Avenue in Mildenhall has been the subject of several reports to Suffolk County Council, which are responsible for roads, over its large potholes and uneven road surface.
Now, a sign displaying the words 'Pothole Avenue' has appeared at the side of the road.
Andy Neal, who represents Mildenhall Queensway on West Suffolk Council and has been vocal about the issues with the roads in the town, said: "I share the residents' anger and frustration regarding the condition of Trinity Avenue.
"It's been reported so many times and the fact that so far nothing has happened is a total disgrace and let down by Suffolk County Council.
"How bad does a road have to get before a repair is done? You only have to look at this section of road to see it needs repairs immediately, not sometime in the future."
Earlier this month, Cllr Neal said he had been told the road would be fixed 'sometime in March'.
He added that deep holes seemed to appear 'almost overnight on a daily basis' in the town.
"This road is one of the worst in West Suffolk so shame on Suffolk County Council for letting get so bad," he said.
"It is scheduled for a resurface so fingers crossed that is what is delivered."
A Suffolk Highways spokesman said they will arrange for the sign to be removed as soon as possible.
They added: "Trinity Avenue, Mildenhall, is planned for road resurfacing this year. We will make contact with the community once the work has been scheduled.
"In the meantime, the area will be assessed and any defects that meet our criteria will be ordered for repair."
