Frequent road closures on a west Suffolk road have been labelled "frustrating" by a council leader.
Stradishall's The Street and Edmunds Hill have experienced a number of closures over recent months due to works carried out by Anglian Water.
Nick Clarke, who represents Clare, Hundon and Kedington on West Suffolk Council, has described the situation as "frustrating".
He said: "It is clearly very important to residents of our local area.
"That road is used by an awful lot of people commuting off to Bury St Edmunds and elsewhere. It's very frustrating for all of us."
The road is regularly used by people living in Clare, Hundon and neighbouring villages as they travel to Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket.

Mr Clarke believes the closures are likely to have a commercial impact on businesses, in particular in Suffolk's smallest town of Clare.
"The junction of Stradishall where that floods that is just dreadful. That just takes the whole area out for days," he continued.
"We are never sure when it is going to be open. That's as frustrating as anything.
"Places like Clare, it is a lovely town. But it needs people to have the confidence to be people to go there to use the shops and facilities to keep it continuing as a thriving community.
"When you can't get through on a regular or ad-hoc basis, I am sure that has an impact on a commercial basis as well."
A spokesman for Anglian Water said: “We’re sorry for any traffic disruption on Edmunds Hill in Stradishall.
"We have needed to close the road to enable our teams to complete repairs on our network. We’d like to thank customers and road users for their patience while we complete this essential work.”
