A big name restaurant chain set to take on a site in a west Suffolk town has revealed its opening date.
Loungers plc will open Potro Lounge in Newmarket on Wednesday, September 4.
The new restaurant will fill the former Barclays Bank and create 30 jobs for the community.
Potro Lounge will be open all day serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks.
There is also a full kids’, gluten-free and vegan menu.
Other Loungers sites in Suffolk include Prado Lounge in Sudbury and Edmundo Lounge in Bury St Edmunds.
Gemma Irwin, head of community at The Lounges, says: “We’re so looking forward to opening the doors of Potro Lounge. We hope our family friendly environment and top-notch food and drink offering will prove popular with local residents.
“We’re passionate about integrating genuinely into the communities we serve so we’re looking forward to meeting everyone and to playing our part at the heart of Newmarket’s food and drink scene.
"Anyone looking for a space to host events or groups should pop in once we are open, we’d love to hear from them and see what we can do to help.”
