An office space on a second floor above some west Suffolk town centre restaurants could become a flat if plans before a council are given the go-ahead.
Proposals for the change of use of Flat 2 at Crescent House, 28 Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds, have been submitted to West Suffolk Council.
The plans, by applicant Mr Joe Marrs, would see the office space changed back to residential accommodation on the second floor.
A statement before the council reads: "The proposal would give much needed accommodation within the town centre of Bury St Edmunds."
The flat is described in plans as being a "spacious two-bedroom flat".
Works proposed include the removal of the glazed screen, granted planning permission in February 2019, and reinstating the studwork wall and door that was removed within the same application. This would give the flat the second bedroom.
The existing building will remain the same externally. The front and rear access to the property will also remain the same.
The proposals are now with West Suffolk Council for consideration.
