A district council has said it has told travellers to move on from a playing field after they pitched up earlier this week.
On Wednesday nine caravans, three motorhomes and nine cars were seen at Howard Park in the Howard estate in Bury St Edmunds.
A spokesman for West Suffolk Council said on that a section 77 notice order was given to the travellers on Friday morning by the council, stating the travellers have until 11am on Saturday to leave the site.
The spokesman added: "We have also made arrangement to collect their rubbish while Traveller welfare have visited to check the families’ needs including the proper disposal of any waste."
It comes after a number of caravans pitched up on land off Lady Miriam Way, on the Moreton Hall estate in Bury, last month.
About nine caravans were spotted on the land, which is opposite the Audi garage.
A horse and several other vehicles were also there.
