A Suffolk airbase has issued a warning to neighbours ahead of its next training exercise.
RAF Honington, north of Bury St Edmunds, has said that there will be a large scale ground training event taking place at the airbase until Wednesday.
During the training exercise personnel at the military base will be responding to a simulated aircraft crash.
A spokesman for RAF Honington said: "Rymer residents may experience a higher than normal traffic volume and also some larger vehicles approaching Crash Gate 3 throughout the period.
"Fakenham Magna residents may see smoke in the early part of the exercise.
"We ask for vigilance from our close neighbours and extra care when about and about."
