Drivers will face a 30-mile diversion as a west Suffolk road shuts for works.
The A1065 at Mildenhall will be closed from 7pm on Tuesday, October 15 until 5am on Saturday, October 19.
Suffolk County Council is closing the road to patch the carriageway ready for surface dressing that will take place next summer.
Drivers will be diverted 30 miles via the A1065, A134, A11 and vice versa.
The road closure will be in force the whole period, as well as the footpath being closed.
The road is busy, leading up to the Fiveways roundabout on the A11 near Mildenhall, which often has delays.
Suffolk Highways posted on social media saying: "We plan to carry out surface dressing works on A1065, Mildenhall during summer 2025, and will communicate these once they have been scheduled."
