A Newmarket man has been banned from driving for more than three years after being found over nearly twice the legal limit.
Vaishakh Nair, of Nimbus Way, was stopped on Fordham Road, in Newmarket, in August and given a breathalyser test by officers.
The 35-year-old blew 66 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The UK legal driving limit is 35mcg per 100ml of breath.
He appeared at Suffolk Magistrates Court on Monday.
At the hearing, magistrates handed Nair a 40 month driving ban, and ordered him to pay a total of £763 in fines, costs and victim surcharge.
