Two of Suffolk's much loved pubs have been listed nationally after being named as having some the UK's best roast dinners.
The Crown
The Crown in Bildeston was named first and is a pub perfect for a winter's roast.
The "characterful" Suffolk pub has a Three AA Rosette status and serves locally grown produce.
Lifestyle magazine Muddy Stilletos, who published the listing, insist that the wonky beams, little nooks and crannies and fireplaces make The Crown eligible for the list as well as a roast sirloin you won't forget.
The Angel Hotel
The Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds was listed next for its "all blue velvet banquettes and eye-catching art".
Demand for a roast dinner in this eatery is so high that the hotel has now opened up The Vaults downstairs to create more space.
The menu at The Angel Hotel consists of Dingley Dell Pork, with a homemade apple sauce, roast leg of local lamb and a "blushing-pink" sirloin of Red Poll beef.
The vaults boasts a trendy interior of exposed brick and sultry lighting, a perfect setting to deep dive into a leg of lamb.
