Speaking about the coastal town, the experts said: "If you are thinking of downsizing to the seaside, one serious worry is that you may find yourself in some kind of cultural wasteland - a candy floss world of arcades and blaring pop music. You need have no such worries if you move to Aldeburgh.
"Scenically, it is a flashback to the English seaside of century ago with wooden shacks and bathing huts, boats pulled up on the shingle and strolls along the prom."
Aldeburgh is known for its fresh seafood and award-winning fish and chips which can be enjoyed on the seafront all year round.
The town also hosts a yearly food festival which has also been considered one of the country's best.
